| Acute - Swallowed |
Ingestion will result in gastrointestinal upset. Data suggests that product should be regarded as moderately toxic by ingestion. Higher pH products may be corrosive to mucous membranes and the gastrointestinal tract. |

May cause irreparable damage if not treated immediately. May cause severe eye irritation with potential for permanent injury or blindness via prolonged exposure. |

FIRST AID

DO NOT induce vomiting. If patient is conscious rinse mouth to remove as much free product as possible and give a glass of water to drink. Guard against aspiration into the lungs. Consult a physician or Poisons Information Centre immediately. |
| Eye |
Flush eyes thoroughly with water immediately and continue for at least twenty minutes. DO NOT attempt to remove contact lenses unless properly trained. Transport to Doctor or Hospital immediately. |
| Skin |
Remove contaminated clothing and wash affected body areas with copious quantities of water. A light acid (eg vinegar, lemon juice or cola drink) may be used to neutralise the alkaline nature of the product. If effects persist seek medical attention. |

Slippery when spilt – avoid accidents. Increase ventilation. Evacuate all unnecessary personnel. Wear protective clothing to minimise skin and eye exposure. If possible contain large spills, absorb with inert absorbent such as vermiculite, sand or dirt and place in suitably labelled steel container. Mop up material and place in to the same container. Clean-up personnel should wear protective clothing to minimise contact. Care should be taken not to walk on spillage as surface becomes slippery.
