REQUIREMENT:
To seal, cure, dustproof and harden concrete
all in one operation, allowing a low sheen appearance, without affecting the
inherent non-skid properties of the surface.
HOW TO SPECIFY:
All new concrete shall be treated by 1 coat
of DeepSeal Formula at the time of placement Most surfaces 1 Litre = 8 – 10 m2
per coat. All surfaces to be free of dirt oil and grease and must be thoroughly
cleaned prior to application.
HOW TO USE PRODUCT:
Apply an even coat of DeepSeal Formula to
surface by roller, lamb’s wool applicator, light bristled broom, or
low-pressure spray, ensuring the area is kept moist with product for 30
minutes. Sprinkle treated area with water to reactivate, lightly broom into
surface allow 30minutes and broom or squeegee off excess material.
EFFECTS:
DeepSeal Formula creates a crystalline
structure very similar to Pyrex crystal, thereby sealing the capillary
structure of the concrete. It therefore reduces liquid penetration and staining
possibilities; helps to prevents hairline cracking in the surface, binds and
strengthens the surface thereby dust proofing and hardening it.
WHERE RECOMMENDED:
All plain concrete. Trials should be
conducted before applying to coloured concrete to ensure no effect on the
coloured pigments.
CLEAN UP:
All tools and equipment should be cleaned
thoroughly with clean water immediately after use, and prior to drying.
CAUTION:
Any excess material should be broomed from surface
and not allowed to pond; otherwise a hard crystal can appear that is difficult
to remove. Do not allow the material to come in contact with glass or aluminium
as it will etch their surfaces.
SERVICE LIFE:
DeepSeal Formula will give upwards of 20
years of protection; however life expectancy will depend on the surface and environment
in which it is placed.
HANDLING PROCEDURES:
DeepSeal Formula is a non-polluting,
non-flammable, non-combustible product that is mildly corrosive. It does
contain silicates so normal hygiene should be observed following use. Avoid
contact with eyes, do not consume, and the use of protective gloves, etc in
recommended. Should contact occur, flush
thoroughly with clean water. Refer manufactures MSDS
