DeepSeal Fifty

DeepSeal 50

DeepSeal 50 is a unique combination of Silanes and Acrylic glazing liquids. Surfaces treated are not only water repellent but also sealed against penetration of rainwater under wind pressure and against most other staining materials such as motor oils, red wine and mild food acids. DeepSeal 50 in a single application highlights the natural colour of masonry but does not produce a glazed finish. Two applications produce a “wetted” effect and a subdued glaze to a dense surface, such as exposed aggregate pebbles, concrete panels and roof tiles.

Specifications

REQUIREMENT:
To enhance the natural colours of concrete, masonry and natural stone materials while  protecting them against penetration of water, oil and most staining substances. This in turn helps with long term protection against environmental impacts that cause degradation in exposed conditions.

HOW TO SPECIFY:
All exposed surfaces shall be treated by 2 coats of DeepSeal 50. The application rate varies with different materials, however usage rate per coat for most surfaces range from 1 Litre = 4m2 for porous surfaces to 7m2 for more dense materials. All surfaces to be clean and dry, and all concrete must be well cured before application.

HOW TO USE PRODUCT:
Apply two even coats of DeepSeal 50 to surface with a brush, roller, lambs wool applicator or low-pressure spray. Allow drying between coats (approximately 20 – 30 minutes depending on ambient temperature). When rolling avoid material build up at edges and don’t over work.

EFFECTS:
Highlighted natural colours of concrete and natural stone, 100% UV effective. The surfaces treated become water repellent and sealed against most staining substances, such as motor oil, red wine and mild food acids without a glossy look. Being a penetrating material is long wearing and easy to maintain

WHERE RECOMMENDED:
All natural unpainted masonry, concrete, most natural stones and pressed clay surfaces (test samples recommended).

CLEAN UP:
All tools and equipment should be cleaned thoroughly with acrylic lacquer thinners, or discarded.

CAUTION:
Any excess material should be mopped up from surface and not allowed to pond and dry.

SERVICE LIFE:
DeepSeal 50 will give many years of protection; however life expectancy will depend on the surface and environment in which it is placed.

HANDLING PROCEDURES:
This material contains class 3 hydrocarbon solvents, contact with skin and eyes should be avoided. Should not be inhaled or consumed. Should contact occur, flush thoroughly with clean water and refer to the manufactures MSDS.
